Have you ever seen anyone around where you live riding a recreational vehicle and wondered what it would be like, but you think that you wouldn’t know what to look for in a recreational vehicle. In this article you will find information on some of the best types of recreational vehicles. Lets begin with the ATV (all terrain vehicle),this type of vehicle is easier to ride then a Dirt Bike but however they are most of the time more expensive. You can go and find knock off brands that are fairly cheep, then all you get is a couple of months of riding and a whole bunch of head aches. You can get an ATV For almost any type of riding you like to do from racing to slinging mud to just your basic trail riding. If you are the type of person that would rather not mess with a clutch and shifting gears then no worries they make models where you don’t have to shift or anything just get on an go. If you are the type of person that does like the advantage of shifting but you are not very good at using a clutch then its all good the manufactures make models where all you have to do is shift no messing with the clutch so you don’t have to worry about grinding gears. In conclusion the ATV is a fun recreational vehicle and is one of the easiest to ride out of the group, however they are slightly more expensive then the others but provide a lot of fun for the whole family. Moving on to the Dirt Bike these are cheaper for the most part, unless you get one that is ready to race right off the show floor then you are going to pay a little bit extra. Just like the ATV you can get cheep knock off brands and just like the ATV all you will get is a bunch of head aches. You can also get Dirt Bikes that don’t require you shift gears, however if you do like to shift but don’t like the trouble of messing with a clutch every time you stop or take off then you will want to get a model that only requires you to shift. Dirt Bike are more known to be used to race on the track, don’t get me wrong you can use them to ride in trails but they are harder to keep your balance on them in rough and tight trails. I would only recommend that only riders with more experience ride trails with a Dirt Bike. Most Dirt Bikes that I have seen are faster then ATVs due to the weight factor, just think you have the same engine with the same displacement but one is lighter then the other and not to mention the Dirt Bike has bigger wheels which will give it more top speed then the ATV. When it comes to Dirt Bikes and ATVs you are going have to make a decision on a two stroke or a four stroke. The difference between a two stroke and a four stroke is like night and day. Lets start with a two stroke, you will have to put up with the hassle of premixing your fuel, not to mention two strokes require a rebuild after riding them for some time. Now on to the four stroke, these engines are very reliable no premixing and they last for ever. The only down side to a four stroke is that the two strokes have a potential of going faster then a four stroke if they are built right. Last is the UTV these thing are expensive but will last forever. The UTV is like a mini pick up truck on steroids. You can pretty much take these things any where, now I’m not telling you to try to jump if off a forty foot cliff that would just be nuts. These thing are really tough although they don’t go as fast as an ATV or a Dirt Bike it will go any where the other two can go. You can buy after market parts to make the UTV go faster and handle a lot more abuse but you are going to really pay for it. So when and if you go and buy a recreational vehicle just think about some of the things that you have read above.
